Fences. The Piano Lesson. Ma Rainey's Black Bottom. Fringe has previously presented these August Wilson plays as part of our Black History month celebrations. Now we highlight the man who wrote them and changed theatrical history.

In this autobiographical tour de force, August Wilson takes us on a journey through his days as a young poet, his first stint in jail, his encounters with love and loss in Pittsburgh’s Hill District. Presented as part of our Fringe in Schools program.
