Chris Moore (playwright) left a perfectly fine career as an advertising creative director to move (with his wife and cat) to Key West in 2017. He realized he needed something to do. Living in Tennessee Williams's old neighborhood gave him an idea; Fringe gave him an opportunity. He began bombarding Rebecca with scripts three years ago. She didn't say stop. In 2024, Fringe hosted a public reading of his play End of the Road. In 2025, Fringe staged his monologue Fernando Moreno for Key West Characters, then staged his first full-length play, Personal Effects, in the 2025-26 season.
